Dr. Andrei completed her residency in psychiatry at the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. She spent the following 6 years doing a combination of inpatient work at Houston Methodist Hospital and outpatient care through Baylor Psychiatry Clinic. As an Assistant Professor, she taught and supervised psychiatry residents.
She is currently fully focused on her outpatient private practice.
While she remains voluntary faculty with Baylor College of Medicine and maintains her privileges at Houston Methodist Hospital, her clinical work is mostly outpatient.
Dr. Andrei has additional psychotherapy training from the Houston Galveston Psychotherapy Institute. She is also a member of the Houston Methodist Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Program. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc, a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Dr. Andrei focuses her outpatient practice on helping professionals in personal or professional crises - people who suffer in context of relationship issues, life transitions, work struggles, mood disorders and/or ineffective coping strategies. Most of her patients carry diagnoses of adjustment, mood and anxiety disorders. She uses both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, as clinically indicated. Practice accepts adults only (18 years and older).
